08/05/10 - This is the last update. The leak as been stopped. And, best of all, there has not been any damage to any of the beaches here. We are as clean and beautiful as ever. The only thing that happen was it scared away a lot of people that should have been here enjoying themselves and soaking up the rays. We hope you will return soon.
07/30/10 - Someone just called and reminded us that we have not put out an updated on the oil spill. There has not really been anything to report. We have been very lucky. No oil on the beaches and no oil smell. Some said there were a few tar balls that got picked up right away. so, the beaches are as beautiful as ever and un-marked by the oil spill. Don't hold back......come on down.
07/12/10 - The following is a couple of photos I took at the beach around 7:00pm last night. See for yourself, the beach are find. Come on down and enjoy the good life.
Check the sandcastle as the sun gets ready to set.

Fog beginning to roll in.

Wind surfing.

No oil in the water.

Wading in oil-free water

07/09/10 - Beaches are still looking great and clean and we are still running our beach shuttle. Funny, our guest go to the beach, jump around in the waves and come back to our pool to relax. Come join us.
07/08/10 - Beautiful day, beautiful beach, beautiful sand, beautiful resort......Everything is beautiful. Wish you were here.
07/06/10 - We had a beautiful 4th. Fireworks all over town, swimming on the beach, and our annual parade in the park. The beach is still clear. Call for reservations now.
07/03/10 - Winds from the northeast continued to push oil farther away from the beaches. With the exception of two tar blobs that washed up on Tyndall Air Force Base, all the reports this week of oil and sheen near the beach have turned out to be invalid. Soooo come on down. Check out the web cams at the bottom of the page.
07/02/10 - Beaches are still open and looking good. No truth to the rumor that they are closed. No tar balls, oil, or smell.
06/29/10 - Would you believe we are still clear of any oil on the beach. Let's hope the storm Alex stays away and that it does not create too much wave action to bring that old nasty oil this way.
06/22/10 We had a few reports of tar balls over the week-end but, with favorable winds and a strong outgoing tide the beaches seems to be clear and beautiful. Check out the following photos taken Monday at about 7:00pm.
All I saw were people walking, a shark, sand castles and people enjoying the water.
